The tradition at Chiyoko Children & Youth Animation Film Festival is for last year’s winners to create the trailer for next year. I had the honours to make the trailer for the year 2018.
The idea was heavily influenced by works of John R. Dilworth, creator of Courage the Cowardly Dog, and my little sister’s drawing of a snail.
I’ve been wanting to make something cartoon-y for a long time, and so I fused photographs with 2D drawn animation and made this film.
Most importantly, however, I just wanted to make people laugh!
